This is a beautiful looking and delicious cake. It was inspired by an expired jar of marmalade in my cupboard and a desire to make a cake!
I always have a stash of these crackers in my cupboard. They are ridiculously easy to make, last forever, and make a great after school snack! What’s more, this recipe doubles as a holiday gift! These crackers are the ABSOLUTE favourite of one of my daughter’s preschool friends
My sister’s been going on about the Buddha bowl for a long time. But for some reason I was never interested in trying it. It made me think of the bland, tasteless food that was passed off a vegetarian fare in the 1980’s. However, a properly constructed Buddha bowl is SO much more than that.

Gravy is one of those delicious indulgences that has somehow gotten a bad reputation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. This gravy is almost a complete meal on it’s own… and it definitely spruces up everything from potatoes to your tempeh cutlets.
I love kvass. I love savoury and flavourful concoctions. I love that kvass makes me feel super healthy without wasting my money on a whole bunch of fancy expensive health food products.
Relish is a must for every summer barbecue, whether you have it on hot dogs, burgers or veggie cutlets, a delicious and seasonally inspired relish really makes the meal. This relish is also amazing on cheese sandwiches (for something British inspired).
So here’s my fermenting foodie confession… I don’t regularly brew kombucha (gasp!) and I don’t have water kefir on the go (shock!). The truth is that we don’t really drink fizzy beverages around here.
