Cultured Vegan Sour Cream

Cultured vegan sour cream made from soy milk yogurt or cultured cashew cream

This dairy-free sour cream starts with a probiotic culture. The flavour is deliciously rich and sour. It’s a perfectly thick and creamy vegan and paleo sour cream alternative.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups thick vegan yogurt (either cashew or soy -see notes)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. This recipe is really simple. Just mix all of the ingredients and serve!

Notes

There are three options for the yogurt base for this sour cream:

  • A thick cashew nut yogurt.
  • Drain soy milk yogurt through several layers of paper towel to make a thick and creamy yogurt.
  • Store bought vegan yogurt should be unflavoured. Also, adjust the salt as needed, because the store-bought yogurt may already have some added salt.
